When you use TicketAssist, we may collect the following information:
Ticket photos you upload for analysis. Vehicle registration numbers visible on your ticket. Your answers to follow-up questions about the circumstances. Payment information if you use a paid feature (processed by our payment provider, not stored by us). Technical data such as your browser type, device type, and IP address for service operation and security.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
Analyse your ticket and identify potential appeal grounds. Generate personalised appeal letters. Improve the accuracy and quality of our service. Communicate with you about your appeal if necessary.
We do not use your data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Processors
We use the following third-party services to operate TicketAssist:
Anthropic (Claude API) processes your ticket images and generates appeal content. Anthropic's data processing terms ensure your data is not used to train their models when processed via their API. Stripe processes payments securely. We do not store your card details. Vercel hosts our application and processes web requests.
4. Data Retention
Ticket images are processed in memory and are not permanently stored on our servers. Extracted ticket data and generated appeal letters are retained for 30 days to allow you to return to your results, after which they are automatically deleted. Account data (if applicable) is retained until you request deletion.
5. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you. Rectification of inaccurate personal data. Erasure of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”). Restrict or object to our processing of your data. Data portability, receiving your data in a structured, machine-readable format. Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

6. Cookies
TicketAssist uses only essential cookies required for the service to function (such as session management). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and implement a cookie consent mechanism.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure server infrastructure, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
